BRETT MEETS ANNEMARIE:

Well... if you haven't read Annemarie's story yet... read that first. She tells the story pretty thoroughly, so I won't repeat it here. I'll just add a little bit from my perspective.


- - - First Contact
Other than a short email that arrived in my Inbox from a total stranger, the picture to the right is about the only thing I first knew about Annemarie. But as I put in an email not too far into our initial conversations:

"Surprising that you don't work out that much... your mother must have really good genes!! Hopefully this doesn't offend you... but the picture Lora shot of you in Utah... that you just had as your profile picture... shows of your jeans and your genes very well!!!"

What can I say... I'm a cheese ball. But seriously... the girl had nice legs and a nice derriere!!

Okay... okay... so that was the first thing that I noticed... but there was so much more that I would quickly find out about this girl with no middle name. She was cool! She liked all the geeky stuff that I liked, she was a music lover, and she liked to travel. Our email responses got longer and longer... to the point that we had to write quick little notes to each other to let the other know that we were in the middle of writing our mini-novel response to the last email.
